Ca Tieng is a remote Nung ethnic hamlet with 43 households, of which 37 are engaged in certified organic farming. The total organic area covers 60 hectares, including 25 hectares dedicated to cultivation.
Since partnering with DACE in 2017, ginger has become the primary income source for local families—supporting stable livelihoods and ensuring that 100% of children attend school. Farmers also practice crop rotation with maize, beans, and spices such as chili, turmeric, garlic, and galangal, enhancing soil health and biodiversity.
Nestled in an isolated valley surrounded by mountains, the farming land is slightly sloped, creating a unique and naturally protected growing environment.
The area is certified under USDA-NOP, EU Organic, JAS, Naturland, and Bio Suisse, and since 2025 has been under conversion to Demeter (Biodynamic) standards—reflecting a long-term commitment to sustainable and regenerative agriculture.
