DACE star anise is made from local variety star anise in Northern Vietnam with the highest & purest quality. Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is tall a perennial grass, which means it comes back year after year. The plants can grow up to three feet tall. Lemongrass is native to South Asia, South-east Asia and Australia.

Nurtured by Nature, Loved Worldwide
DACE’s journey began in 2009 in the remote northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam, where young agricultural engineers from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture partnered with Oxfam to support ethnic minority communities. From planting ginger with local farmers to discovering its unique flavor, we built a foundation of trust and hard work. Established on September 9, 2013, DACE evolved into a leading exporter of organic spices, expanding to 24 countries by 2025.
In 2018, we embarked on an organic farming transition, collaborating with 3,014 households to cultivate 2,300 hectares of ginger, turmeric, chili, garlic, lemongrass, cinnamon, star anise, and galangal. Supported by Helvetas, CSIP, and Oxfam, we achieved certifications like USDA, EU Organic, JAS, Naturland, Bio Suisse, and Fair For Life. Our 5,000 m² BRC, HACCP, Kosher-certified factory ensures top-quality processing.
Driven by diligence, honesty, and a commitment to sustainability, DACE brings Vietnamese organic spices—nurtured by nature—to the world, aiming for 3,000 hectares by 2030.

2009 - our first steps
Graduating from the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture, a group of young engineers, with the partnership of Oxfam, chose the northern mountains of Vietnam as the place to sow their very first seeds. Here, they planted not only ginger, but also nurtured trust, hope, and unwavering passion for a future of renewal
2013 - the birth of dace
On September 9, 2013, with love and dedication, DACE was officially founded – carrying the vision of bringing Vietnam’s organic spices from humble farms to the global stage.
2018 - Organic Agriculture
Not stopping at offering organic products, DACE expanded its commitment. Partnering with more than 3,000 farming households, we transformed 2,300 hectares into organic fields of ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, star anise, and more – earning international certifications that honor both our quality and our respect for nature.
2025 & Beyond - A Journey to the World
Today, DACE spices travel to 24 countries, crafted in our 5,000 m² world-class factory. Yet our story is far from over – By 2030, we aim to nurture 3,000 hectares of organic farmland, continuing to share the taste of Vietnam, grown with honesty, diligence, and respect for the earth.
